Spreading the Gospel and grace of Jesus beyond Zion is one of the missions of the Outreach Ministry of the Church.

Working with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Zion has recently worked in areas such as Mobile, Alabama building homes for Katrina victims and the people in the town of Newburgh, New York.

Each year a number of people travel to Bosnia with the New Jersey Synod to run Friendship Camps for children between the ages of 8 and 13.  During the two weeks of travel throughout the country the two groups visit sixteen schools and touch the lives of almost 3,200 children.  Handmade gifts and hand painted bags are taken from the congregations and are given to the children as keepsakes.
